Janusz Zakrecki has served as President & CEO of PZL Mielec since 2005.
Mr. Zakręcki is currently responsible for the Company management and setting the tone and direction of the corporate culture. Janusz’s career has been always connected with the aviation industry. It was 1992, just after graduation from the Cracow University of Technology, faculty of Mechanical Engineering, specialized in Heavy Machinery, when he began his career at Zaklad Lotniczy “PZL Mielec” Sp. z o.o. In 1999, Mr. Zakrecki transferred to Pinacle Consulting, where for a short period of time he worked in the Economic Department. In 2002, he decided to take the position of Department Manager at WSK „PZL-Rzeszów” S.A., were he was acquiring experience for the following three years. Once he entered the professional world, his career has been always connected with the aviation industry. Mr. Zakrecki actively participates in the economic life of the region by holding the position of a member of the Board of the Aviation Valley Association in Rzeszow and the Board of Polish Industry Association (SPPL). In 2023 he was honored by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda with the Knight's Cross of Polonia Restituta.
