Paolo Casalino is the Director General of the Directorate-general for industrial policy, industrial crisis and reconversion, innovation, SMEs and Made in Italy and Coordinator of the working groups Italy-France-Germany at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
A former international student at the National School of Administration (ENA) (CIP, 'Louis Pasteur' class of 2018), he holds degrees in law from Italy, in Public Administration and Finance from Sciences Po Strasbourg, as well as in International Relations and Diplomacy from Lyon 3 Jean Moulin University.
He served as the Director of the Brussels office of the Apulia region for 10 years, and in 2022, he was the Director General of the Mission Unit for the implementation of the NRRP at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forests and General Director of the same Unit at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
He is fluent in Italian, English, and French, with basic knowledge of Spanish and Arabic.
