Alejandro Abellán has 30 years of experience in Spanish public administration, including 14 years as a senior official with responsibilities as Director General and Ambassador of Spain.
He also has outstanding experience in inter-ministerial coordination and dialogue with the private sector in defence of Spanish interests, complemented by first-hand knowledge, both theoretical and practical, of the negotiation and decision-making procedures of the European institutions, as well as of inter-ministerial coordination in Spain. He has extensive experience in representation work, communication, team management, and coordination of sectoral offices (trade and investment, consular, cooperation) with a strategic approach at the Spanish Embassy in the Dominican Republic. He has worked in complex environments encompassing multiple public and private actors with a results-oriented approach.
