Alexander Chourreau

Alexander Chourreau is a Tech Policy Officer at the European DIGITAL SME Alliance. He works on both Policy and Projects operations linked to standardisation, cybersecurity, the data economy and international partnerships. He is notably a Sherpa in the European Commission’s High-Level Forum on Standardisation, and also coordinates the EU-funded BlockStand project, dedicated to supporting European experts in blockchain standardisation.  

Alexander holds a Double Bachelor’s Degree in Politics and Economics between Sciences Po Bordeaux (France) and Cardiff University (United-Kingdom), as well as a Master’s in European Diplomacy from the College of Europe (Belgium) – where he was rewarded as laureate of the 2021-22 cohort. Previous work experiences include a traineeship at DG CNECT’s Policy Implementation & Planning Unit (European Commission), as well as work at the Fondation l’Intelligence Artificielle pour l’Ecole, a Paris-based organisation dealing with digital skills, and a consultant position at Openvalue, a French AI startup.
