Chris Heron is the Communication & Public Affairs Director of Eurometaux, Europe’s metals industry association, representing European mining, processing, and recycling companies towards the EU institutions. He oversees Eurometaux’s raw materials programme and has nine years of the experience in the metals industry.
Most recently, he led a landmark Metals for Clean Energy study in partnership with Belgian University KU Leuven, which quantified the raw materials needs of Europe’s Green Deal for the first time. Previously he worked for the European batteries industry, with an academic background in Literature and European Politics from London and the Netherlands.
