Elena Bou is cofounder, Innovation Director and Executive board member of EIT InnoEnergy.
In her Innovation Director role, she has led the development of major InnoEnergy efforts in creating and accelerating new ventures in the sustainable energy field, including the equity investment process. Having supported around 450 companies in the sustainable energy field, today, InnoEnergy portfolio counts with 200+ companies including five unicorns.
In addition to the professional arena, Elena has also developed an academic career being Associate Professor at ESADE Business School since 1998. She has been a consultant and researcher in the field of knowledge and Innovation Management and author of several publications in the fields of knowledge management, collaborative innovation and entrepreneurship. Her experience on Corporate Entrepreneurship includes the creation of two spin-offs: InnoEnergy and Ten.
Elena Bou holds a PhD in Management Sciences from ESADE-URL (Doctor Europeus) and has a degree in Business Administration and Management and an MBA from ESADE Business School. She also studied in Florida University (MBA) and Copenhagen Business School (Marie Curie Fellowship).
