Dr. H.C. Santiago Cuesta-López is the General Manager and Executive member of the National Iberian Sustainable Mining and Raw Materials Cluster, and the General Manager of the private non-profit Foundation ICAMCyL. In addition, he is the Spanish chair in the Operational Groups within the EC European Innovation Partnership in Raw Materials.
He was awarded Doctor Honoris Causa in September 2021 by the University of Miskolc (Hungary) in view of his contribution to internationalisation and Innovation Ecosystems, and he was also awarded as ‘Physicist of Excellence’ by the National College of Physics in 2019.
Since 2015, he has attracted and directed more than 50 EU projects.
