Thomas Wimmesberger serves as the Director for EU Education and Employment Policy at the Brussels Office of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK). His primary role involves contributing to the European dialogue on skills and labour shortages from a German perspective, a nation renowned for its robust tradition in work-based learning. With a background in teaching, Wimmesberger brings firsthand experience in educating and training future talent. Before assuming his current position, he worked at the EU Liaison Office of Carinthia in Brussels and the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU.
