Associate professor at the Institute of Economic Sciences at Wroclaw University of Economics, where he heads the Department of International Economic Relations. He holds a doctoral degree (2009) and habilitation (2015) in economics and has been a Fulbright scholar at George Washington University. His research focuses on economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa, foreign direct investment, and Sino-African relations. Kopiński has conducted field research in several African countries and has published in leading journals. He is also involved in promoting economic relations between Poland and Africa and serves as a senior advisor at the Polish Economic Institute.
