Dr Amaryllis Verhoeven is the Head of Unit for Digital Transformation of Industry in the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) at the European Commission (EU Commission).
In that capacity, she is in charge of promoting the development of the digital economy and contributing to the EU’s digital resilience by bolstering the EU’s digital capacity.
Before her current position, Dr Verhoeven worked in the Commission on Intellectual Property and a number of Single Market-related and energy-related projects. She also worked as an attorney with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and holds a Ph.D. in law and political philosophy from the University of Leuven.
