José Carlos García de Quevedo was appointed Chairman of ICO in June 2018. He is a member of the Trade Expert and State Economist Service and holds a master's degree in Economics and Business from the Complutense University of Madrid.
He has held positions of responsibility in areas of investment and finance, foreign trade, insurance and pension funds, both nationally and internationally. Before being appointed Chairman of ICO, he was Executive Director of Invest in Spain at ICEX, Director General of Trade and Investment at the Secretary of State for Trade of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, Chief Economic and Commercial Advisor at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union and Director General of Insurance and Pension Funds at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Throughout his career he has been a member of Committees and Boards of Directors of companies and funds. He has also published a large number of articles on matters within his field of expertise and actively participates as a speaker at conferences and business forums both in Spain and abroad.
