Pascal Richard graduated in applied sciences from the University of Paris 6, then in Marketing and Management of European Companies.
He began his career in telecommunications in Morocco, then extended his career internationally in the Europe, Africa, and Middle East zone, at France Telecom and then at Alcatel. In 2006, he joined the photovoltaic sector at Tenesol (EDF and Total) to develop the 'Telecommunication' activity, mainly in Africa. In 2007, he co-founded SMA France to take over the management of the company, whose scope of responsibility includes France and French-speaking Africa. In 2021, he founded his personal holding company, TotEm, within which he initiated the CARBON project, which he founded with three partners. He has acquired 25 years of experience in the industry, including nearly ten years in the telecommunications sector and more than 15 years in the energy sector.
